The Board of Directors has appointed Anthony J. Puorro, FACHE, FHFMA, as interim President and Chief Executive Officer of Roseland Community Hospital with an effective date of September 1, 2008. This follows the recent resignation of Ian E. McFadden, FACHE, who has accepted the position of Chief Executive Officer of The Methodist Hospitals, Inc., based in Gary, Indiana.  Mr. Puorro’s credentials include over twenty-six years of senior management experience at hospitals, including years of experience as a Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Puorro is one of few healthcare executives in the country that has attained Fellowship status in both the American College of Healthcare Executives and Healthcare Financial Management Association. Mr. Puorro also has a M.B.A. from Dowling College. The Board of Directors will be conducting a search for a permanent President and Chief Executive Officer over the next several months.
