Roseland Community Hospital is a not for profit health care organization located on the south side of Chicago, Illinois that has served the residents of the Pullman, Riverdale and Roseland areas since 1924. In addition to the primary service areas, catchment’s areas include individuals referred for care from Cook County and outlining communities. Roseland Community Hospital expends more than $11 million annually to ensure that uninsured and underinsured residents receive appropriate healthcare services. To this end, the Hospital provides preventive and educational initiatives to improve the health of its community residents. Areas of focus include an emphasis on asthma, breast cancer, diabetes, cholesterol and prostate screenings, mammogram health education, and cardiovascular fitness for women and classes for obesity reduction in children.
