Medical Stabilization Unit

The New Roseland Community Hospital’s Medical Stabilization Unit offers inpatient emergency medical stabilization service for adults with drug and alcohol related problems. Our unit accepts appropriate adults, 18 years of age or older who are severely intoxicated or experiencing acute withdrawal symptoms.

Lengths of stay in our Medical Stabilization Unit may vary and can range from 3 to 5 days. RCH provides a multi-disciplinary team approach in the stabilization and medical treatment of patients. Our program is staffed by physicians, nurses, counselors, social workers, and other support staff who all work together to assist patients on their road to recovery. Upon discharge, patients are linked to programs and services for appropriate follow up care specific to individual needs.
